If you grew up with that show like I did it was pretty obvious that she was all over him. I remember my Mom commenting more than once about how she flirted and teased him. This was the pinnacle of hockey. Entertaining. Violent. Skillful. New Jersey's cup win over the Red Wings seemingly signalled the employ of rigorous defensive systems and the end of tough guys on the third and fourth lines. With too many Europeans in those "plumber roles," too many European-types not being willing to scrap when the opportunity presented itself, the NHL lost its soul. Such a crappy product these days.
